+ Do I have to sign a lease agreement?
Yes; however, the lease agreement is month-to-month with a 30 day minimum required.
+ When is my rent due?
Rent is due 30 days after your move-in date.
+ What if I need to transfer to a bigger unit or a smaller unit?
Come into our office for assistance with transfers during office hours.
+ What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit is on the outside of our facility and allows you to easily load and unload your belongings.
+ What is a roll-up door?
A roll-up door rolls-up overhead for easy and fast access.
+ How much notice do I have to give if I move out?
We would prefer if you gave us a 7 to 10 day notice.
+ If I rent a unit, can a family member or friend have access to it, too?
Only if you allow access for others you specify.
+ Do you have carts for me to use when I move-in, transfer to another unit or move out?
Yes! We have complimentary carts while you load and unload.
+ Do I need insurance?
Insurance is your decision but we do not require you to have it. You may want to contact your insurance agent to find out if self-storage items are covered. We offer a storage insurance pamphlet for your convenience.
+ What is the difference between access hours and office hours?
You can access your storage unit during our access hours. For your convenience, Bolsa Chica Self Storage’s gate access hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 365 days a year! Our self-storage experts are in-house between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday; and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. They are in-house to assist you with any questions you may have, if you need to make a payment or if you require boxes and moving supplies.

+ Can I have Peace of Mind?
We are happy to report that we have not had a single unit break-in or thefts on-site. You can check with the Westminster Police to verify our security record. With our many surveillance cameras, an alarm at every unit and walk-thru checks by our security-minded staff, we work very hard at keeping the facility as safe and secure as possible.
+ Can I purchase boxes, moving supplies and locks even if I don’t rent storage from you?
Yes! You do not need to be a self-storage customer to purchase these items. For your convenience, we carry a wide variety of boxes, mattress bags, dish & glass packing kits, furniture covers, wrapping paper, stretch wrap, tape, poly rope and locks, etc.
+ Do I have to provide my own lock and key while I rent storage from you?
Yes. For your convenience, we sell heavy-duty stainless steel locks. Each lock comes with two nickel-plated solid brass keys.
+ What happens if I lose my key?
Call our in-house experts for assistance during regular office hours.
+ What is your return policy on boxes, moving supplies and locks?
By law we cannot accept any returns on these items because they are considered ‘used’ after purchase. So, try and estimate the right amount for your specific needs. You can always come back during regular office hours if you require more boxes and moving supplies as we are happy to assist you!
+ How can I pay my storage bill?
Bolsa Chica Self Storage offers four ways for you to make your payment:
1) Choose AutoPay. We automatically debit your bank account or charge your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card on a monthly basis.
2) Pay by mail. Mail your payment to: Bolsa Chica Self Storage, 13090 Old Bolsa Chica Rd., Westminster, CA 92683
3) Pay in person. We accept cash, check, a bank card or a credit card.
4) Pay by telephone. Call us at 714.373.0062 and speak to a self-storage expert to debit your bank account or charge your VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card.
+ Can I get a copy of my invoice mailed to me on a monthly basis?
Yes. When you move-in just ask our self-storage expert or call the office for assistance during regular hours.
